About Confirmation
Confirmation completes the initiation begun in Baptism. Through the laying on of hands and anointing with chrism, we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and are strengthened to live as witnesses of Christ.
In Rwanda, Confirmation is typically received in adolescence or adulthood after a period of catechesis. Candidates must be practicing Catholics and have received the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist.
